I took a lot of inspiration from Frida Kahlo and mainly anime shows which present characters which are half animal half human. I picked the prisma color pencils as my medium because it was something I had never worked with before my piece is a fusion of a bunny and a human girl in a Japanese style kimono holding a fish (her lover) .
This was my original sketch I was planning on making her hair longer but in the end went with short hair that would add character.
Later as the piece progressed I added more definition to the hair and decided to go with very dark eyelashes to make her eyes stand out.
