Sculpture Vessel Project Blog

This piece is inspired by a Studio Ghibli movie and a Diana Wynne Jones book by the title of Howl's Moving Castle. At the top of the piece where the circle is on the lid I plan on adding glass to it so it appears to be a gem. the sides of the piece will look like the scorch marks that appear on Howl's table.
The things I found difficult were the actual assembly of the box, if you notice on one side its slanted , that's why.
Surprisingly the things I have found successful so far are the scorch marks on the sides the biggest ones I had to score and slip on, I was genuinely afraid they would crack and or fall of in the firing process.
